Snowflakes on Broadway

ABOUT THE MUSIC

December in New York.

Coming out of the Iridium in New York (the old one, at 63rd Street and 8th Avenue) after hearing a brilliant set by Ahmad Jamal and his trio. Big snowflakes were gently drifting down. Strangely, in a city that always has something to say, there was an eerie quiet. No traffic. No sirens. Just the snow-muffled silence of a beautiful winter night.

Features my friend Greg Lewis on muted pocket trumpet.
